Jimmy is a programming languages researcher and software design evangelist. He completed his Ph. D. at MIT on “meta-metaprogramming,” with publications including multi-language semantic code search and automatically generating programmingtools from language semantics. In 2020, he performed a security audit on a blockchain voting app being used in the US Federal Election, resulting in widespread media coverage and the discontinuation of its use in West Virginia.Since 2016, he has trained over 200 software engineers as the founder of Mirdin’s developer-training arm; his blog posts on software engineering have achieved over one million views. He previously graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University with two degrees at the age of 20, and was among the first recipients of the “20 Under 20" Thiel Fellowship. He is an expert in reverse-engineering, static analysis, and advanced functional programming.

Nils is a functional programming enthusiast as software design educator. He spent 4 years as a Tech Lead at Discovery Networks in London, during which he built out the web platform organisation and core tech teams, he built and delivered several high profile product such as Discovery Plus, Eurosport + 2020 Tokyo Olympics coverage, Dplus India, Dplay Nordics etc. He hails from Sweden and has lived in Colombia, Malaysia, the UK, and currently Portugal.
